The Roots of Courage
In the historic town of Chiniot, Punjab, Pakistan, the family of our founder Mr. Zafar Ahmed once held vast agricultural lands — a life of comfort and inherited status.
But comfort was never the goal.
His father made a choice that would define generations to come: he left behind everything that was inherited, and moved to Karachi to build something entirely his own. From nothing. On his own terms.
When young Zafar was only four years old, his mother passed away. His father never remarried. He dedicated his entire life to raising his children with discipline, dignity, and an unshakeable belief in earned success.

ACT II · 1960s
Seven Brothers, One Vision
Together with his six brothers, Zafar Ahmed built what would become an extraordinary international trading enterprise. Not a small shop. An empire spanning continents.
At a young age, Zafar became one of the company's directors — relocating to Chittagong to oversee operations in East Pakistan. The business traded in paints, plastics, and industrial goods, with offices and staff stretched across major cities.

ACT III · 1971
When History Changed Everything
In 1971, political conflict tore apart what years of hard work had built. The family's primary operations were centered in what was then East Pakistan — Dhaka and Chittagong.
When conflict broke out, there was no time to plan. No time to save anything. Zafar Ahmed left with his wife and children — and almost nothing else. The offices, warehouses, investments, and everything the company had built across years: gone. Overnight.

Most people would have stopped there. He did not.
ACT IV · 1970s–2000s
Starting From Zero
Returning to Karachi with nothing but determination, Zafar Ahmed began again. He tried manufacturing machine parts. Textile machinery components. Industrial production. Many ventures did not succeed.
But he never stopped.
Through decades of perseverance — supporting his family, educating his children, moving forward with patience — his efforts eventually crystallized into something real.
A small manufacturing unit. Then a workshop. Then a company.
That company became Zobia Impex — a textile manufacturing and trading enterprise that grew from Karachi to Lahore, a testament to what consistent effort across decades can build.

ACT V · 2017
The Next Generation Rises
In 2017, Mr. Zafar Ahmed's grandson — Danial Ahmed — set out to carry the family vision beyond Pakistan's borders.
With his grandfather's blessing and guidance, Danial established TOO ZASHAMA in Ukraine, operating under the trading name Al Basit Textiles. What began as a trading venture grew rapidly into something much larger.
Warehouses. Display centers. Expansion into two major cities. A thriving operation that brought international ambition back to the family name.
The company later diversified into precision instruments — including dental and surgical tools, manicure and pedicure equipment — discovering the niche that would eventually define ALTINEDGE.
ACT VI · 2022
History Repeated Itself
Just as Mr. Zafar Ahmed had once been forced to leave Dhaka and Chittagong in 1971, history repeated itself more than fifty years later.
The Russia–Ukraine war changed everything in days. The warehouses, inventory, display centers, and investments that had taken years to build were left behind.
For the second time in one family's story, they left with almost nothing — forced to begin again from the beginning.

A New Beginning in Kazakhstan
Guided by the lessons of Mr. Zafar Ahmed — and carrying the resilience of two generations who chose to rebuild rather than retreat — the family started again.
In Kazakhstan, TOO ZASHAMA was restarted. And from this new beginning, something new was born.
Not textiles this time. Not industrial goods.
